Understanding Gen X and Gen Y

Generation X balances work and friends and family.  Generation Y, the largest generation in human history, has never known a time when there was not a World Wide Web.  They each have very different work styles than the Baby Boomer generation.

About Your Instructors

Kassia DellaboughKassia Dellabough has been teaching at the University of Oregon for over 20 years in a wide array of subject areas ranging from Applied Creativity and Design to Project Management for Electronic Publishing.

Dellabough has written on the subject of generational management, does speaking all over the United States and Canada on the subject, and is the lead presenter on generational marketing for a four day intensive training institute for professionals.

Julie CoatesJulie Coates, guest presenter, is the author of the pioneering book, Generational Learning Styles, and is a national authority in the area of demographics, generations, and Generation Y.

She has been interviewed by The New York Times, BBC, and other national media on the subject.

Heather DimittHeather Dimitt is a Gen Xer who does educational programming and marketing to Generation X and Gen Y with the continuing education and career training program at the Columbia, Missouri, public schools.

Dimitt speaks at national conferences and professional development seminars on the subject of generational communication, social networks, marketing, and management.

Suzanne KartSuzanne Kart, guest presenter, is an expert on Gen Xers supervising and managing Baby Boomer staff.

Kart is a national expert on Generation X and generational communication, having written articles, done training and seminars, and contributed to two manuals on the subject.
