 This course is intended for experienced green building professionals who want a more in-depth understanding of the Green Building Design + Construction (BD+C) LEED Rating Systems, including those with a stake in their company's building practices, those directly involved in green building projects, and those pursuing GBCI's LEED AP BD+C professional credential. This course will motivate AP candidates to develop and adhere to a study schedule and provide opportunities to discuss and clarify difficult concepts.
 
This interactive online course introduces the credit intents, key elements, main requirements, and reference standards of the BD+C LEED rating systems. Facilitated by official USGBC LEED Faculty™ who are LEED and facilitation experts, this course provides an understanding of the scope of the LEED BD+C rating system family, covering the distinctive aspects of each rating system within it. The course examines the prerequisites and credits in LEED BD+C rating system. The material introduces all of the credits, going into detail on the goals, intents, requirements, and strategies of prerequisites and selected key credits. The course also reinforces understanding of synergies between credits, and provides an overview of the LEED certification process, including basic documentation considerations. Weekly activities will help apply this information to the knowledge and skills needed to earn the LEED AP BD+C credential.
 
The course will wrap up with a review and study tips to be successful with the LEED AP BD+C exam. Space is limited to maximize the student and faculty online interaction and communication.

   Prior Knowledge expectations:
   · Achieved LEED Green Associate

  · Familiarity with the BD+C Rating 
     Systems, including knowledge 
     of the prerequisites and credits.  

Course Agenda
The two-month online course provides an in-depth understanding of the Green Building Design + Construction (BD+C) LEED Rating Systems.
 
The core of the course presents LEED credit intents, requirements, and synergies. Key LEED metrics and LEED referenced standards are addressed throughout. Discussion groups and interactive activities throughout the course keep you engaged and reinforce the learning. The course includes study tips to help learners prepare for the LEED AP BD+C exam.
